Family Reunion Planning

TheFamilyReunion is dedicated to helping you plan your next Family Reunion. This is where you will find helpful tips on how to plan your next Family Reunion event.

The planning process:

1. Start planning well in advance, usually 18 to 12 months.
2. Gather names of family members and start sending out invitations or reminders.  TheFamilyReunion is a great way to start this process.  When you register, you can print invitations online to mail, plus you can direct members to register through your online reunion page.
3. Choose a suitable location determined by how many family members are expected to attend.  Call and see if this location is available on your preferred dates.  If so, ask if there is a deposit required to hold those dates.
4. Call a hotel in the area to see if they will offer a group rate for members of the reunion.  Be sure to include this information in the invitations or announcements.
5. Set a deadline for everyone to register, this way you have time to adjust your plans accordingly.
6. Once all the registrations are received, wrap up all loose ends; make final reservations, buy all neccessary items such as food, utensils, paper goods, etc and call the family members that haven't responded yet.  Please remember to plan for latecomers... there will always be a few family members that wil want to attend and have passed the deadline.
